No Exhaust No Exhaust? No Exhaust?

Alright, my pipe cracked on my gas scooter. No its not one of those scooters that you driver around town with. Its more-so a go-ped. If i leave the pipe off, will it decrease compression? is it bad for my engine?

first off, what pipe? your exhaust pipe?

^^^answerer above^^^lack of backpressure affecting performance is a MYTH. its been proven and ive tried it first hand with experimenting with different diameters of exhaust piping and all have proven the same performance results with the exception of different exhaust tones.

the only "gain" i see from removing your "pipe" is a louder/irritating-sounding go-ped.

i say remove and replace as it was produced with it for a reason.
