How can I count the maintenance cost of a gas scooter 150cc before I buy it?

Aside from calling a dealer. I need to know when I should change the oil. Is it by mileage as a car? what about recommended maintenances, intervals. Do they suggest this and or that at certain mileage like cars? Is there something I should watch out for or be on guard for. I am looking at getting a used vespa 150cc

Besides the maint. cost, many states have now passed laws that new scooters must be operated by a licensed driver and must be insured.
